Leaks at bottom of window
I bought this kettle in March 2016 and only after 7 months of normal usage the kettle is leaking at the bottom of the window which show the level of the water. I purchased another Oster kettle before and had issues with a leak at the bottom of the handle, however that one lasted longer than a year. The kettle is good otherwise but not good once there is a leak.

Leaking at window and filter keeps falling out
I bought this machine about 5 months ago and now it is leaking at the bottom of the viewing window and the filter keeps falling out. (August 2015)

Not good
So the mesh strainer went a few months ago and NOW the kettle won't shut off. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this kettle. It is definitely a low end product for Oster and I honestly thought they were better than to have such a product on the market as this kettle.

Do not buy
Expect better from Oster rate themselves as long lasting appliances,used occasionally but started leaking,an obvious fault,this kettle only 1 year old,customer service only tried to sell me another one,not impressed..will never purchase Oster product again!

Leaking at the window after 3 weeks
Purchased 3 weeks ago, kettle is now leaking at window. Sadly I did not keep the receipt, as I never expected to have to return a kettle. This one is best avoided.

Lid open mechanism broken
It’s a great kettle but unfortunately the lid opening mechanism is easily broken. Now I cannot open the lid anymore. So disappointed.

Lid keeps popping up, will not shut off
After a few months of use the lid will no longer stay down. The water will continue to boil and the unit will not automatically shut off unless you are holding the lid down by hand. We have taken one back for warranty, got it replaced and sure enough it happened again, of course the warranty hand run out by then so it's junk now. Do not buy this kettle.
