Rated 1 out of 5 by from BROKE AFTER 7 MONTHS! I previously wrote a 5 star review for this coffee maker since I was so pleased with it after a month of continuous use. But a couple weeks ago it broke down. It will no longer suction water, and right after pressing 'brew' it beeps as if it is done brewing. I have tried everything short of opening it up to get it to work, but with no luck. I contacted Oster to ask for assistance but their response was that it is not under warranty and is over 1 year old even though I received it (as a gift, hence no receipt) less than 8 months ago. I am extremely disappointed in this useless product and in their company's response and cannot recommend this product or brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just quit I've had this coffee maker for just under two months and it's stopped working. I put in six cups of water into the reservoir and it would brew just under two. The temperature of the coffee is only luke warm - I have to throw it into the microwave before drinking it. I thought running a cleaning cycle would help. Same thing - the vinegar disappeared and it took 30 minutes to run 6 cups - which only turned out to be one cup. I called the 1-800# only to be told by a robot to take it back to where I bought it (two ferries away.) Cannot find the replacement water filters anywhere either! I love my Oster blender.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't get coffee; unit broken 5min out of box Bought this unit from London Drugs when our faithful Hamilton Beach died after 17 years of service. Just finished unpacking unit and was washing cleanable parts for initial use when Grab-a-Cup feature broke under normal faucet pressure from tap. Tried to find parts on Oster website; site didn't even offer part(s) for purchase, nor replaceable cartridge for "Advanced Water Filter" feature. when I called 1-800 number, I got a 'bot reply in French (I only speak English) that said something and then it hung-up on me. Oster is Very customer Unfriendly; cannot recommend any other coffee maker brand, aside from Oster and Sunbeam, emphatically enough.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I don't think this is a safe coffee maker. I was given this coffee maker as a Christmas gift, along with a Black and Decker coffee maker. Oster has quit working. Have an error code, can't be bothered to look it up. It has not been used a lot, until recently, the past two weeks, daily. There is no auto shut off, until 5 hrs after brewing. I find that unsettling, especially if not everyone is mindful enough to turn off the pot after emptied. Scary!!!! I have gone back to my Black and Decker, and I must say that through the years I have preferred Hamilton Beach and Black and Decker coffee makers. I would not go out and buy an Oster product. They were an excellent product in their day, many years ago, but it seems that day has passed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Waste Your Money I purchased this Oster unit 4 months ago from London Drugs, and until today it worked great. Suddenly today, coffee comes out ice cold. After reading the previous reviews on this coffee maker, I will not waste any of my time on this product. I unfortunately cannot find the receipt. It will go in the garbage and I will not buy another Oster product. There seems to be a pattern with this coffee maker as numerous reviews, like mine, are only after months of use so there must be a manufacturing issue!! Customer service should be standing behind their products, not simply saying we will ensure to tell our other departments. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Household hazard I got this for Christmas and it stopped working properly within about 4 months. The buttons start clicking themselves, so it starts turning itself on and off just whenever. It'll turn itself on in the middle of the night and stay on for who knows how long, then turn itself off right after I turn it on and not make my coffee. Before it became completely unusable I was unplugging it when not in use (so there goes the programmable feature and the clock....) I did contact Oster and they graciously offered to send me a different model. Unfortunately the package arrived today and it's the same piece of junk that I'd sent in, and frankly I don't want it in my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine! I received this machine about a month ago and it’s a hit in our house! This is our first time owning an oster appliance and we would look for another the next time something needs to be replaced. We love the programable option so my husband can set it and wake up to fresh hot coffee to take to work and it keeps the coffee hot and fresh for 4 hours (just like Tim Hortons). The colour coated measuring spoon takes the guess work out of how much grounds you need to put in. It brews very fast and the filter (that needs to be changed monthly) ensures you get a great cup every time. I love that the pot and removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe as well. Overall we really liked this machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke!! I wrote a review maybe a year ago giving this coffee maker five stars. Well today it broke!! Does what others are describing. When I press the on button it just beeps right away as if it has brewed the coffee. But it hasn't. Tried everything. Had to dig out my proctor Silex that has been working awesome for since 2007. This coffee maker is not worth the money for 6-12 months of coffee then breaking. Will not be purchasing any oster products having experienced this unreliability. Pathetic. DONT BUY THIS!!!
