Rated 5 out of 5 by from Noteworthy Experience I have previously owned to machines at similar price range and this machine meets the pros of both but not the cons. The nespresso machine I have at home is of similar price range does not prepare its own milk or frothed milk and to use optimally should be used with pods which create more waste. The prima latte prepares the proper amount of milk and no need of pods. I also had a Breville which was in same price range and it made good coffee and has a frother but you have deal with hassle of making the right size coffee and milk to mix to make the right drink. Whereas the Oster machine does it for me, just press a button. Granted its not effortless I still have to clean after, however, I feel it blends both a do it yourself machine and automatic quite well! It also makes a good crema!Great Value! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gone through 2 in less than 2 years I bought my first prima latte at Canadian tire in January of 2019, worked great for the first 7 months then the pump just died. No support from oster at all. Thought okay, it makes my lattes and I'm pretty happy with it maybe this was just a one-off.... so I decided to try with a second one. This one has lasted 12 months to the day and the stupid thing is leaking water everywhere, works fine without the filter in it but as soon as i attach the filter and try to make my , morning latte it wont work. I'm assuming the filter part is plugged and I have looked everywhere to find replacement parts, no luck. I sat on hold with their customer service line for 25 minutes and gave up, who has time to wait that long? Not me, time is money and I can tell you now.... for the price I paid for 2 of these units and the time I have wasted on both of them once they broke down, I am thoroughly unimpressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte Machine Our family has been enjoying this versatile machine for over a month. It was easy to set up and just as easy to use. I feel like I no longer need to pay for a barista to make my specialty coffee, I now have that capability right at my finger tips! Really love the options for single and double shots but the customize allows you to control how much you want. The milk is frothed perfectly with the machine! It looks nice and sleek on my counter. I just wish I could fit a larger cup under the spout but I manage just fine with the smaller cups. An excellent value for a quality machine!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great machine but... Great machine, works very well when you follow the instructions in manual. Makes great Cappuccino and Expresso and frothed latte and great price, but... However the problem is after sales service both with Canadian Tire and Oster. Ordering parts on-line is next to impossible for this machine either from Oster or Cdn Tire ??? If you need to order a spare Porta Filter and filter assembly which sooner or later will plug up, good luck...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible product This item is fantastic in its design and it fits super conveniently in my kitchen. The espresso maker makes just about the best lattes that I've ever had. It makes it all the while more worth it to wake up in the morning knowing that I have a fresh cup of delicious coffee waiting for me. The stainless steel finish on the device is incredible and the instructions that come with it make it extremely easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Rolls-Royce of espresso makers! I have to be honest, I was always a Nespresso fan, thinking nothing would come near it. This Oster prima latte 19 bar Italian pump espresso machine put me to shame. It's amazing!! I never use my Nespresso maker at all anymore. The convenience of this machine is outstanding, the design thinks of absolutely everything to make preparing your latte or cappuccino simple and straightforward. Easy to understand. It has every feature I need, from increasing the amount of water in my espresso, to cleaning out the milk area of the machine with efficiency. The coffee is always piping hot and perfect. I like the way that I can use my own brand of coffee and I am not restricted to one kind of coffee coffee like I was with the Nespresso machine. I have to say this is my main machine now and I will not be going back to my other one. It is attractive it stays clean and looks wonderful on my kitchen counter. I can't say enough good things about this machine, and I feel very lucky to have discovered it!.

Out of the box, it was very easy to set up and the instructions were clear as possible. I am not a barista by any means, but the delicious, flavourful beverages that I can make now is very impressive and quite addictive The milk frother works like a charm. I love, love, love, this machine.

The machine is fairly great and fits nicely on my counter top while looking very sleek. Each cup takes a few seconds to make just by pushing one button. It is very easy to clean and all around a great value. Love it and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than a nespresso??! I managed to snag one of these at Canadian tire. I did a little research and a colleague had the prima 1 version and I gotta say. It makes a latte/cappuccino/espresso as good and better than a nespresso. Granted for best results you’ll want to grind your own beans and there’s a couple extra steps. But you will not be disappointed. Excellent value for the money.

I've been using this compact, but versatile machine for over a month now and it's now become a part of my regular morning routine to whip up a quick latte before I head out the door- no need to stop at a coffee shop on the way to work any more! The options on this machine are really well thought out- you can make a latte, cappuccino or espresso in single or double shots literally at the touch (or 2 for a double) of a button. But what I like most is the one touch to start, one touch to stop "customize" button that gives you full control over the amount of espresso and the amount of milk you want. My only criticism is that my taller to go mug doesn't fit under the spout, so I need to make my latte components separately in a smaller cup then combine in my to go mug.

Goes together well and is easy to use (instructions could be more detailed) Did find it to be a little top heavy. Makes delicious espresso and cappuccino. Milk frother is excellent. Machine does take up a bit of counter space. Easy to clean.

I love this simple feature where it would allow a one touch button for the option of single or double drink. The milk frother does the job by making thw milk into a nice frothy taste. Also, it was easy to clean and remove the reservoir where I could store the leftover milk in the fridge. One minor issue, its a little noisy and it took awhile for the milk to work when you first use it.Overall, I am very happy with the machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Machine won’t work anymore, all lights flash! I was given this machine as a gift and loved it, at first. Now it won’t put any water through the machine and after it tries, all the lights flash. I went online to get warranty from Oster and got a response fairly quickly with online forms to fill out from Newell. I filled out the forms and didn’t get any further response or information. I sent another email about a month later and still didn’t hear back. I’m very disappointed, I had only used the machine about 2 dozen times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! I bought this after reading a lot of reviews. It was leaking, it cannot be returned once used (only exchanged) It takes forever to clean up after. Not a coffee maker for early mornings....the cup holder is not tall enough either. The coffee taste was really watery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You too can be a Barrista! The Espresso Prima latte has changed our household this past month. Our teens enjoy it as much as we do. A cappuccino, latte, or espresso was an occasional treat now it is part of our daily routine. The coffee is prepared at such a high temperature that the flavour is delicious. The milk frother creates a thick tasty result. Easy to use and as important it is easy to clean. I enjoy adding flavour syrups to create different beverages.

Makes an excellent espresso, latte or cappuccino. I no longer need to go to Starbucks and pay $5 for a latte, can make the same quality at home with the simple push of a button. The milk frothing works great. This machine is small enough that it fits on my counter perfectly without taking up too much space.

It is easy to use, love the way it froths the milk perfectly! I could not be happier with the quality and taste of the coffee. We use it all the time, and it has replaced our need for our daily Starbucks! Best of all it only takes the push of a button and a few seconds for a quality cup of coffee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use and Clean. Great Coffee, Hot Chocolate The first drink I made with this was cappuccino. It took a few minutes to unpack and to read and understand the instructions. There was almost no learning curve. Most of all of it is intuitive. What it looks like it would do is what it does. Put water in. Put milk in. After one or two settings, it does the rest. I like warm milk on my oatmeal, and so I turned the milk setting to “low froth” and warmed my milk in less than a minute, with no burning like I do in a pot on the stove. I moved on to making the instant hot chocolate pouch right in the coffee machine. The milk comes out perfectly, and exactly the right amount. For espresso, regular coffee, and latte, everything is as easy as the cappuccino. Using the same ground coffee I usually buy means I do not have to pay the dollar per pod that other machines need. Cleaning up is very fast, and that includes the milk jug clean-up. The machine has a setting for cleaning the milk system. After a few times of hand washing the milk container, I give it the hot cleaning from the machine. If I want to complain about anything this machine does not do, I have to remind myself that the other machines I can compare it to range in price from $500 to $2,000. These days, you can hardly buy a plain old filter coffee machine for the $150. that the Oster Prima Latte is selling for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this machine-inconsistent and breaks down I received this as a wedding gift and was excited to make lattes at home. Unfortunately, this is a very cheaply made, poor quality machine. There is only a one year warranty and the machine breaks down shortly after, which seems to be a very common occurrence based on the numerous other reviews seen here. The milk does not froth properly. The machine just produces a ton of steam and doesn't suck any of the milk up through the straw. We have taken it apart and cleaned it and followed the trouble-shooting steps. No luck. Additionally, the espresso comes out inconsistently. Customer service was no help as it was past the one year warranty. They wanted me to drive 4 hours (one way) to a repair store and then pay for the repairs on top of that. This business practice of planned obsolescence, where companies make machines that they know will break down quickly so that consumers have to purchase it more often is not only wasteful, but also a deceptive business practice. I will not be purchasing from this company again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work properly I bought 2 of the old version of this Oster Prima Latte and it worked perfectly. I absolutely loved it, but after 5 months, I lost the small transparent tube of the milk frother, (which is super easy to lose since its so small) so I contacted the customer service to know where I can find a replacement. They told me they don't have replacement and because of that I couldn't use it anymore. Since I kept the receipt, they offered to send me this model. I sent back my old Prima Latte and they did send me this model. The milk frother didn't work at all and it made way too much noise. I believe it was a refurbished model that was already defective. I contacted the customer service again and I sent back the machine to get another one. Again, the new machine's frother only works once in a while and then it stops working. It also makes so much noise that I can't stand close to the machine when I try to use the milk frother. I got tired of talking with the customer service and I understood that the product itself is bad so I am looking for a new coffee machine from another brand because I am very tired of dealing with poor quality products. I absolutely don't recommend this product and I am very sad because the old model was incredibly nice and it was probably the best coffee machine on the market.
