Rated 4 out of 5 by kalina7115 from Great but not lasting Our family used the kettle for less than a year.We loved the design and illumination. However, the pouring spout"s plastic has cracked (I guess due to high temperatures) so that it caused constant leaking when I tilt the device to pour hot water into a cup.It was annoying since hot water used to drop on my feet or countertop. We switched to another kettle (glass as well just different brand).I suggest the manufacturer to look into this issue. The new kettle we got has a glass spout which is more durable. If not this issue it would of be a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken Switch from Broken On/Off Switch - Not designed to last. This kettle worked well for about a year then the on/off switch stopped working. There are a number of reviews documenting the same issue. The company replied to other reviewers asking them to contact the company for resolution. I did and was completely dissatisfied with the response I got. I was offer a small discount on a replacement kettle. For a company who's tag line is "Ledgendary performance. Designed to last." I would suggest they work on designing a simple switch that lasts! Would not buy again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Amanda K from Oster 1.7L 360 Illuminating Glass Kettle I bought this kettle this year in February 2016, I paid $119.99 at Canadian tire for this kettle. It is a beautiful kettle and it heats up really quickly and I loved it; but the on/off button just stopped working last week. My last cheap kettle was only $20.00 and it lasted me almost 4 years. I thought that I was buying a good kettle with the amount of money that I spent on this kettle. I am very disappointed, its not worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by akozlenko from disappointed from first boiling water I got this kettle yesterday and was disappointed from first boiling water. The water is leaking from body to base through holes on the bottom body. The countertop makes wet under kettle. Going to return this item back. For this high price the devise should work with issues free, but in real the quality as the kettle for $10.00 My first post was deleted, will see how works the second one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nowkettleless from RIP Christmas 2015 - Oct 10th, 2016 We were happy with our small kitchen appliance addition on Christmas Day 2015. From that morning until October 10th ( Thanksgiving) our little kettle with it's bright blue light brightened our early mornings with lovely hot water for our coffees, will no longer be with us as it's on/off switch has stopped working. Rest in Peace little kettle! For those looking to purchase this kettle beware as it will not be long before your on/off switch gives way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KayDubbleyuh from Luv it! I also enjoy my blue-illuminated kitchen when I make tea in the early morning hours or late, after sundown. But it's like anything else, it needs to be cleaned out to keep the glass clear. I just boil a little white vinegar with water every so often. Also important is to keep the lid open so that there's no molds that can accumulate around the pour spout and lid recess....just give it a wipe with the vinegar water now and then. Simple.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Norman from Toggle switch dead after a year We bought the kettle about a year ago and were very happy with it. It gets used daily for both tea and coffee. It was always gently used. Well, today the toggle on/off switch died on us it's as floppy as a wet noodle. Should we buy another Oster kettle? We'll shop around.
