Rated 1 out of 5 by RidetheWave from Bearing Failure - not under warranty I was very happy with this blender when I first purchased it, and used it daily to make smoothies. After 1 year of use it started to get noisy and I stopped using it before damaging the motor. The blades will not spin at all. One of the reasons I bought it was for the 7 year warranty. This blender was purchased brand new from a box store that was selling shelves full of them. Little did I know that the warranty would not be valid since I didn't purchase in the US or Canada. Very disappointed that i spent the money on a product that can't perform and would have been better off buying a cheaper blender or spending a bit more on one with better reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointedpanda from Broke after 1-year of light use Splurged on a nice blender thinking I'll save money on years of making smoothies. Didn't quite go as planned as the bearing for the blade failed after about a year of making 2-3 smoothies/week. Seeing how others have reviewed this product poorly, I'm undecided on risking more $$$ for another poorly made jar from Oster. Or spend a bit more on a new blender from a competitor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by wazu from Terrible design flaw Blenders should be able to handle blending liquids without bearing failures. The bearing for the blade failed after about a year of making 2-3 smoothies/week. Not what one would expect for a "compettitor" to the VITAMIX.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SmoothieHolly from My second jar just broke I bought my Oster Versa in March of 2015. I make a smoothie every weekday but I expect that, for a $300+ blender, it should last longer than my $60 magic bullet, that lasted 5 years. My second jar just broke. The first one didn't even last a year. When the blender works, it's great. It crushes ice, it demolishes beets & carrots, it blends whole lemons into pulp. I bought it because I didn't want to spend over $500 on a BlendTec or a Vitamix. Now I think I would have been better off paying more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mark88 from Jar bearings failed Jar bearings failed after 150 blends. The motor works ok,but as I suspected the main dial is not sealed and is now sticky from a spill.I replaced the bearings with aftermarket ones.IMO the jar should last 3-4 years, roughly half the 7 year warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gregory from Same Problem - Bearing Let go After a Year Seems like a poor design if everyone is having the same problem.. paid for quality and now spring is here and I don't have a blender for my cocktails! I am going to call Oster and see if they will stand behind their product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by SusanC from Hard to Clean + Can't blend properly Got this blender for occasional use to make smoothies; was very impressed with it for the first few uses, but after the first month, it does not break down/blend anything. Everything comes out chunky and not smoothly blended together. This jar is also impossible to clean properly, leaving a nasty film on the sides after a few months of use. Not sure how to get rid of it, but overall very disappointed with the power/blades of the blender and the hard to clean blender jar. I should have just invested in a better blender from a competitor instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Popeye from Good Blender but... Made smoothies on this blender every day for about 6 years, and the base motor still works great, but looking to buy my 3rd jar which I'm happy I can for a reasonable price. The first jar the blades eventually wouldn't turn even after applying WD30 (don't do this at home kids). The second one I dropped and the handle broke. Maybe I should go for the "buy one jar get 2nd 1/2 off". Honestly, after couple thousand smoothies this blender or Oster doesn't owe me anything. New jar(s) will give it new life just like last time. Thanks.
